Merry Monday 2010 #3

Merry Monday #3!

Has another week gone by already?  I have been having back pain issues lately, and have been in a pain-killer-induced-fog for much of the past month...so, when I see another week has gone by and I really haven't accomplished much except to go to work and get the odd meal on the table...I get a little stressed, with Christmas coming in less than a month! I wish I had a maid...and a cook...and a personal massage therapist...and someone to put my Christmas decorations up....and heck why not throw in a personal shopper? I haven't got much crafting done lately, am having withdrawal symptoms (from crafting, not from the pills!).

At least I got my Christmas cards done early this year!

Merry Monday 2010 #1

I've been working on Christmas cards (who hasn't??), but I was smart this year...
Last year, I was scrambling to get all my cards done by Thanksgiving, as I give my Mom, my sisters and my hubby's Aunt a boxed set of cards as an early Christmas gift (see post HERE for the story and last year's cards)

This year, I got a head start on my cards, so I'm ahead of schedule. YAY me!

I've decided to start a MERRY MONDAY post to share my 2010 cards with you. I'll be posting Christmas cards every Monday until Christmas. I made 6 each of 12 different cards, and as these are to be mailed I kept them standard A2 size and limited the embellishments so they aren't bulky. I'll try to post recipes if I can remember what I used...this has been a 3 month project.

Don't be square!

The challenge at Heart to Heart this week is to create a NON rectangular or square card, they want to see a shaped card. The DT has made some AWESOME "out of shape" cards!

My FIL is visiting, and since my craft room is actually the guest room, I can't get at my stuff...WAHHHH...

I hope it's OK to resurrect an older post. I'm entering this pocket card:

I guess the insert part IS rectangular (my bad)...but the overall shape is a bucket of popcorn :)
I have made several of these pocket cards.  I usually put movie passes or gift cards in them for the many birthday parties my kids get invited to.  For some non-square inspiration, head over to the Heart to Heart challenge blog and check out all the fabulous creations made with CTMH products.

Thanks for visiting my blog,
Lorrinda
